June 16th, 2009 - We discovered that we made a mistake in the Open Wheels Main Event this past Sunday. In adding up the scores, Dave Bedford should not have made the main and John Pinsonnault should have. Our apoligies to John and he has an entry fee credit at the track. We will improve the system because of this mistake. It simply became more difficult by scrambling the motos and we just plain messed up. We do have a plan going forward.

June 9th, 2009 - In this weeks race report I wrote that the start of the race was held up because some Elite Open riders insisted on the gate area be swept prior to them coasting out of the gate. This was found to be totally untrue. I simply should have checked with the gate starter prior to reporting that. Although not all riders were there and ready to go, it was not an issue with sweeping the hill. The missing rider was fixing a flat tire. Unfortunately that did not get reported back to us, I apologize for the misinformation. The comments have been deleted from the report.

June 30th, 2008 - Frank Buonocore and myself met with the Mayor, two people from soccer, a trafic control officer and the director of the department of public works regarding the ingress and egress to the soccer fields on race day. It seems that soccer has complained (I dont blame them as I would also) about getting through and also expressed a concern for the safety of kids in the road. Parking was the biggest thing and, pictures showing the lines we put down yesterday really helped. Going forward it is very important that no vehicles (or any part of them) are inside the white lines alongside the road. The road MUST be kept accessible including unoccupied bikes, people standing around, pop-ups and trailers. This was a good meeting and some forward plans were spawned but it will be a year or more before significant improvement is enjoyed.

June 29th, 2008 - The race report is now posted for yesterdays race.

June 28th, 2008- Tomorrow (Race Day) you will notice white lines on each side of the road by the track. Please park on the far side of each white line leaving the road completely accessable to traffic. I have been invited to the Mayors office on Monday for a meeting with his honor, members of the city council, a soccer representative and a traffic control officer. This could be good or bad, just not sure at this point but traffic obviously is considered a problem.

February 15th, 2008 - Not really related to Foothills BMX but then again it is. This is a video done by Access Hollywood about Tara Llanes. Tara is a BMXer and more recently, a Mountain Bike Racer. The day before the Grands, she was racing Jill Kitner in Colorado and suffered a horrendous crash and is paralyzed. (Jill Has been to Foothills a number of times). Tara will never give up. If you watch this video and are not moved, you are not human. Tara (whom I've met many times in her BMX days) is now 31 years old. The Video aired on December 26. Her drive and determination should make all of our own petty troubles seem small. I hope your inspired from it.

February 11th, 2008 - This past weekend the NBL held its annual Competition Congress in Dublin Ohio. Tommy's is under new ownership and new management this year and we are excited about this "partnership" and look forward even more of a "Tommy's presence" at the track all season long. Many thanks to this civic minded business for their continued support.
