Track Points

Foothills BMX is proud to offer any rider who races 10 of our scheduled races, free entry to our year end awards outing on October 7th.

We determine our class champions by total points for the year so, the more you race, the more points you earn. Please be advised that this points program is for Foothills BMX only and should not be confused with any other tracks program or the State program.

To view these points you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher. It is available as a free download here. We recommend downloading 5.0.5 version as it takes up less space on your computers hard drive.

NOTICE - STATE POINTS EXPLAINATION

There has been a ton of questions regarding "State Points".

State points are earned for every race a rider races in, both on the local and the state level. In the rookie classes all rookies get 40 points for every moto win. A "perfect" is when he earns 120 points or the maximum. If there was a main event in his class, he will earn 8 points for a win, 7 for 2nd; 6 for 3rd etc. However, a rider can never earn more points then the total number of points earned if he won all his motos. In other words a rookie can never earn more then the max 120 points for a particular race day. He should still race his main event even if he is maxed out to be a "blocker" for the riders he beat in the motos, otherwise they could earn just as many points.

For a state ranking and a state number plate at the end of the year you MUST race the State Championship race. Going into it only the best ten race days are counted and, three of them can be multiple point races. Usually this means your best 7 single point races, your best two double point races and whatever you got in the triple point race. The state championship race is the 11th race that is counted and the forth multiple point race that is counted and it is double point value. All riders who qualify for and race the state championship race will receive a state number plate with whatever number he finished in his class for the year. If a rider moves up a proficiency he brings his points with him. Rookies earn 40 points for moto wins, novices 50, experts earn 60 and cruisers and girls earn 50. In combined classes a riders will earn points that equal those earns in the higher proficiency class.
