Race Report Final Warrior

Due to the rain out on Sunday, a special “Warrior Race” was held tonight with 11 riders showing up for some great racing action. Three rounds of motos plus the main event would determine the distribution of the $305 purse. Steve Oldham, definitely in the cat-bird seat coming into this final event, solidified his enviable position even more with yet another win. Pete Lorenzo managed a 2nd place with Allen Currier finishing 3rd.
The rules have stated that the scores of the best two Foothills and the best two Falcon races would be the scores that made up the best four scores. With that said, Steve is really sitting very well for the final double points race on September 10th at falcon. With an 8 point lead over the closest competitors, Steve still needs to work. If Matt or Chris, sitting with 70 points each were to win the Championship race, they would have a total of 110 points. With the Championship race being also the ty-breaker if required, A third place finish in this race would also give Steve a total of 110 but, either Chris or Matt would be declared the winner as they won the Champ race (Ty-breaker).
Obviously, Steve needs a second or better to ensure the title.
