LORI PEDERSEN

BRIAN KESL
TRACK OPERATOR

Brian started as our Track Vice President in 2019 and 2023  marked his first official season as our track operator! Brian is a key player in the success of Foothills.  You will find him and his son Brody working hard on the track before race days to make sure it is smooth and ready to race every Sunday.

Not only is he our track operator, but you will also see him personally riding and racing on the track.

He will undoubtedly have the best seat in the house when he watches his son Brody race. We are excited to have Brian on board for another year as Track Operator!

Matt Markie

We are absolutely thrilled to have Matt back for his third year as Vice President! His love for Foothills BMX is contagious, and you can always find him hard at work on the track every Sunday , supporting Brian. The excitement doesn't stop there—his amazing wife Nikki and their little racers, Remi and Benny add even more fun to our community! With Remi zooming around on two wheels and Benny getting started on the  track, this incredible family truly embodies the spirit of Foothills as a family-friendly track!

Al Torrizo
Track Photographer

Like most of us Al came to the track with his children a few years ago, Al returned with them on a Sunday Funday to watch the races. They were immediately hooked and signed up for USABMX. You'll likely see his family racing together at tracks throughout Connecticut and the local area. Al looks forward to working together with our team to make Foothills a destination for regional racers!

SCOTT GONYER
RACE ANNOUNCER

On the microphone in 2025 from Plaskett Tower! Scott has been around BMX for a couple of YEARS! He took on the task in 2020 of filling some pretty big shoes in the tower on the hill, he has done a phenomenal job and we are grateful to have him.  We also think his predecessor would be proud. Scott likes to stay busy so if announcing wasn't enough he has a new race team Axle Nuts Racing.

Karen McPhail

Track Clerk

Karen joined the Foothills BMX family as a volunteer and was elected Track Clerk after dedicating her time and support to the track. In 2023, she brought her son, Wyatt, to try BMX racing, and he has been hooked ever since. BMX has become a true family affair, with Karen helping behind the scenes, her husband, Jason, serving as a corner marshal, and daughter Eliza lending a helping hand.  Together, they are proud to support the riders and families that make Foothills BMX such a special community.

Desiree Ransom
TREASURER

The volunteer list could go on for miles at Foothills and these individuals make up the backbone of our track community, without their generosity to make every Sunday Funday, this would not be possible! Remember to thank a volunteer for all of their hard work and dedication!
